As of now, NTA has not declared the UGC NET June 2026 result. The agency's last official word remains its August 26 notice, stating the result would be announced "this week." Candidates are advised to keep checking ugcnet.nta.nic.in regularly and rely only on official NTA channels for updates.

An NTA Expert committee found factual, typographical, translation, and language-related errors in the June 2026 question papers for English, Commerce, and Sociology. As a result, NTA ordered fresh exams for these three subjects, scheduled for September 9 and 10, 2026. Candidates required to reappear won't need to pay any extra exam fee.

According to official NTA data, 9,93,702 candidates registered for the UGC NET December 2025 session, of whom 7,35,614 appeared. Of these, 5,108 candidates qualified for both JRF and Assistant Professor, 54,713 qualified for Assistant Professor and PhD admission, while 1,17,058 qualified for PhD only. Similar trends are expected for June 2026.
