If candidates find any answer in the provisional key to be incorrect, they can challenge it within the given objection window.

The objection facility will remain available only for the period specified by RRB. Candidates should therefore check the exact opening and closing date once the official notice is released. The Board will not accept representations after the deadline. Candidates are advised to complete their objection submission well before the closing time to avoid issues caused by website traffic or payment failures. After submitting an objection, candidates should save the confirmation or transaction details wherever provided. These records can be useful if there is a technical issue relating to the submission.

In previous RRB objection procedures, candidates have been required to pay a fee for each challenge, with the fee for a valid objection refunded after applicable bank charges. For example, an official RRB notice for another 2026 CBT prescribed Rs 50 plus applicable bank service charges per question and stated that the fee for valid objections would be refunded after deduction of applicable bank charges. However, candidates appearing for CEN 09/2025 should wait for the specific Group D notice to confirm the applicable fee and refund provisions.

The official notification for CEN 09/2025 describes the recruitment process as Single Stage CBT, PET, Document Verification and Medical Examination. Candidates should therefore avoid confusion with recruitment cycles where two CBT stages may be conducted. The exact selection process applicable to CEN 09/2025 should be followed as specified in the official notification. Once the answer key is released, the immediate focus should be on calculating the CBT score and checking whether an objection is necessary. Candidates shortlisted based on CBT merit will then be considered for the qualifying PET stage.

The RRB Group D recruitment process comprises CBT, Physical Efficiency Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination. The CBT determines merit for shortlisting candidates for PET, while PET is qualifying in nature. Estimated Score = Correct Answers × 1 – Incorrect Answers × 1/3.

For example, if a candidate answers 70 questions correctly and 15 incorrectly, the estimated raw score would be 70 – 5 = 65 marks. Candidates should calculate the score carefully and retain their calculation for comparison with the final result.

The RRB Group D CBT consists of questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. According to the official CEN, the indicative distribution is 25 questions from Mathematics, 30 from General Intelligence and Reasoning, 25 from General Science and 20 from General Awareness and Current Affairs. This makes a total of 100 questions carrying 100 marks. Candidates calculating their expected score should therefore focus on the responses actually recorded in their individual response sheet rather than assuming a particular section-wise distribution.

Candidates waiting for the RRB Group D answer key should keep their registration number and password/date of birth credentials ready.
