Indian Air Force has als release the official cutoff marks along with the AFCAT 2 scorecard. The candidates who scored above the cutoff marks will be qualified for the SSB round. The course-wise cutoff marks are given below:

There are a total of 5 AFSB centers in India where candidates are evaluated after clearing the AFCAT exam.

• 1 AFSB: Dehradun, Uttarakhand
• 2 AFSB: Mysuru (Mysore), Karnataka
• 3 AFSB: Gandhinagar, Gujarat
• 4 AFSB: Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
• 5 AFSB: Guwahati, Assam (primarily for NCC and Meteorology entries)

A total of 353 vacancies were announced in the AFCAT 2 official notification. The branch-wise breakup is provided below:

Also, it is clearly mentioned in the notification that the number is tentative and subject to change without notice. Actual intake would depend on organisational requirements. IAF reserves the right to ascertain final vacancies in each branch. No representation in this regard will be entertained.

The candidates shortlisted in the AFCAT 2 will have to report to the AFSB centers for further rounds. For which, a separate admit card will be uploaded on the official website. The candidates have to report on the stipulated date and time for AFSB interview at the designated center. Where the candidates need to go through the following rounds:

• Document Verification
• Screening Test
• SSB Rounds
• Medical Examination

After the completion of all rounds, a final merit list will be prepared.

The candidates should download the AFCAT 2 Result PDF from the official website of the Indian Air Force at afcat.edcil.co.in. This is the only website to release the AFCAT Result PDF. Indian Air Force does not release the AFCAT Result on other websites.

The Indian Air Force has officially declared the AFCAT 2 Result 2026 on September 9. Candidates can now check their qualifying status by login through candidate login section on the official website at afcat.edcil.co.in. Shortlisted candidates will move further to the next stages of the recruitment process, which is SSB interview.

The Indian Air Force closed the answer key objection window on August 13, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the AFCAT 2 are now waiting for their AFCAT result and final answer key. The IAF said the AFCAT result would be based on the final answer keys prepared after reviewing challenges. The IAF started the Answer Key Objection process from AFCAT 1 2026. Before that, the IAF never released official answer keys or candidate response sheets. They directly released the results.

The Indian Air Force released the AFCAT 2 provisional answer key on August 11. The answer key helps candidates compare their answers with the official responses and calculate their expected scores. It also gives an idea about their chances of qualifying for the SSB interview which is the next stage of the recruitment process.
