UGC NET June 2026 was held in CBT mode on 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30 June and 5 July 2026, across 655 centres in 286 cities in 87 countries.

NTA confirmed 97,434 candidates have qualified for PhD admission only in the UGC NET June 2026 exam, based on results processed after expert verification of challenges to provisional answer keys.

Candidates can download their UGC NET scorecard, which contains the following details:

• Candidate's Name and Roll Number

• Application Number

• Subject Code and Subject Name

• Photograph and Signature

• Marks obtained in Paper 1 and Paper 2

• Total Marks and Percentile Score

• Category (General/OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwD)

• Qualifying Status (JRF / Assistant Professor / Not Qualified)

• Cut Off Marks (Category-wise)

Candidates can follow these steps to download their UGC NET June 2026 result:

• Visit the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in

• On the homepage, click on the link "UGC NET June 2026 Result."

• A new login window will open on the screen.

• Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth/Password, along with the security PIN shown in the image.

• Click on the Submit button.

• Your UGC NET Result 2026 will be displayed on the screen.

• Check all the details carefully and download the result PDF.

• Take a printout and keep it safe for future reference.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET June 2026 result on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The UGC NET cut off 2026, to be released along with the result, will follow standard reservation norms — with relaxed qualifying marks for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, and PwD candidates compared to the General category. This ensures wider eligibility across categories for JRF, Assistant Professor, and PhD admission based on UGC guidelines.

As of now, NTA has not declared the UGC NET June 2026 result. The agency's last official word remains its August 26 notice, stating the result would be announced "this week." Candidates are advised to keep checking ugcnet.nta.nic.in regularly and rely only on official NTA channels for updates.

For audience context, a NET-qualified score is often a mandatory eligibility filter for:

• Assistant Professor recruitment in state/central universities and colleges
• JRF stipend for full-time PhD scholars (Rs 37,000/month for first two years, Rs 42,000/month after, as per current UGC norms)
• Direct PhD admission in many central universities without a separate entrance test

• Don't refresh the result page repeatedly with incorrect DOB format, use DD-MM-YYYY as entered during registration.
• Don't rely on WhatsApp/Telegram forwards claiming "result declared", always cross-check on ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
• Don't discard the provisional answer key or objection response, keep it until the scorecard is verified.
• Don't wait till the last day to download the PDF, servers get slow due to heavy traffic on result day.

An NTA Expert committee found factual, typographical, translation, and language-related errors in the June 2026 question papers for English, Commerce, and Sociology. As a result, NTA ordered fresh exams for these three subjects, scheduled for September 9 and 10, 2026. Candidates required to reappear won't need to pay any extra exam fee.

According to official NTA data, 9,93,702 candidates registered for the UGC NET December 2025 session, of whom 7,35,614 appeared. Of these, 5,108 candidates qualified for both JRF and Assistant Professor, 54,713 qualified for Assistant Professor and PhD admission, while 1,17,058 qualified for PhD only. Similar trends are expected for June 2026.

Along with the result announcement, NTA cautioned candidates to avoid unverified UGC NET result dates, times, and links circulating on social media and unofficial websites. The agency advised checking only the official portal, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, or its verified social media handles for authentic updates on result declaration, answer keys, and re-exam details.
