The official CEN states that candidates will be shortlisted for PET based on CBT merit. PET is qualifying in nature and is mandatory for candidates called for the stage. The CEN indicates that candidates may be called for PET at up to </span><span>three times the community-wise total vacancies</span><span>, although Railways reserves the right to modify the ratio where necessary. Candidates should therefore not stop preparation immediately after calculating their CBT score. Those expecting to qualify should start reviewing the PET requirements.</span></span></p>
